Bubblious!

This week Year 1 completed their large fish pictures by adding some bubbles and extra details.

First for some bubble drawing practice! We drew round different sized circles with white chalk and shaded them in. We then added some blue chalk pastels. To give the idea of light reflecting in them we added a little 'c' of yellow and white - again using chalk pastels. Some of us put a little star of white chalk on two side to show the light shining through themas a finishing touch.

Yes, chalk pastels can get a little messy- that's why we like using them!

When we were 'bubble ready' we added some bubbles to our large pictures, just like we'd practised, as well as some seaweed, coral and anything else we fancied to the seabed. Those bits we did using oil pastels.

And here are some of our finished ones with painted fish, chalk pastel bubbles and oil pastel seabeds.
