Let The Sunshine In - The Exhibition

Thank you all once again for getting involved. You've created some great bright, cheerful art to say thank you to all the key workers who are helping us right now.

Click on the video below to watch our virtual exhibition. Under that you will find more details about the pictures and the artists that created them.

Ameera - Waxwing
Ameera's bright, bold, cheerful picture says thank you to all the key workers that are helping us at the moment.

Ilenia - Cuckoo
Ilenia certainly 'let's the sunshine' in with this hopeful picture, thanking the NHS staff for everything they are doing.
What do you think the sun is holding?

Yaseen - Year 1
Yaseen used oil pastels for this fantastic bright picture of a brachiosaurus eating leaves.

Aisha - Chiff-Chaff
This week Aisha has painted a rainbow to thank all the carers for their support.

Andrey - Mallard
Andrey has used colouring pencils to create this great sunrise landscape picture.

Aleeza - Kingfisher
Aleeza loves rainbows so she drew this one, using felt pens to colour it in. Rainbows always make her feel happy and full of energy!

Samina - Merlin
"I made this happy butterfly picture with crayons and paints. I did the outline with markers and added some patterns with a glittery pen. It is a happy butterfly flying over green grass. I also put another butterfly on top of the grass. I hope you all like it"
We certainly do Samina & so will all the key workers who see it.

Rayyan - Year 1
This week Rayyan created a fabulous tiger, using his drawing book to help him, before colouring in a bright background that includes a rainbow.

Aahithya - Kittiwake
"I drew a portrait of my mum wearing a rainbow dress".

Isla - Merlin
Isla drew a very colourful heart, using a mix of colouring pencils and felt pens in her 'Thank-You NHS' picture.

Faizan - Kittiwake
Faizan's colourful horse is dedicated to all the everyday heroes that are helping us at the moment.

Rose
Rose was really inspired by this week's theme and has done three bright, hopeful 'Let The Sunshine In' pictures.
The first one using felt pens on paper foil, the second on paper and the third on acetate. Which one do you like best? Why?

Aliya - Grouse
"I drew a big sun to say thank you to the NHS. I added some rainbows and bright shiny gems to cheer everyone up! Then I did a chalk rainbow on the pavement. Thank you NHS"

Rayan - Chaffinch
Rayan loves football as do a lot of key workers, so this bright colourful picture is guaranteed to bring some cheer.

Liyana - Kinglet
Liyani created a giant rainbow out of cardboard, colouring it in with felt tips and adding some stickers for NHS workers everywhere. She also wrote a great poem to go with it.

Tahira
Tahira used felt pens to create this colourful basket of eggs as a gift to all those key workers, who will  still be working for us over this Bank Holiday weekend.

Malaika - Chiff-Chaff
Having just watched the new Trolls movie, Malaika was inspired to create this bright fun picture to make people smile.

Ameerah - Grouse
"I researched pictures of bunnies on the internet and used a plate to draw the face of mine" .... what a super-cute bunny it is too!

Senna - Magpie
It looks like Bunbun is the star of the show once more in this wonderful bright, busy picture Senna has created using felt pens.

Elizaveta - Kingfisher
Like some other people, Elizaveta has been inspired by the style of Romero Britto to create her amazing colouring pencil picture. Every key worker deserves a pot of tea after their shift!

Some of the children who have been going into Mission Grove have created some great, large scale rainbow art to thank all the key workers, which is displayed for all to see as you go past the school.

We hope that all the key workers who see this week's exhibition feel a little cheered and certainly very appreciated by us all.

THANK YOU

Next week's challenge will be coming on Tuesday 14th April
