They warmed up by drawing what they thought a jungle/rainforest might look like and who might live there.
Then we focused on the colours of the jungle and that's when everything went GREEN!!
We talked about all the different types of green and how we could make them. We remembered that you had to mix the primary colours yellow and blue to create the secondary colour green. Then we began to look at ways of changing our green colours - we learnt about how to create a tint, by adding white to our green and how make new greens by adding more yellow or blue.
Finally we embarked on our activity to create as many different greens as we could in our palette, then paint them onto our paper in vertical lines.
Here is a selection of our finished ones.We are also going to use some of ours as leaves around our classroom to make it 'jungly'!
