Something Fishy Is Going On...

This week Year 1 continued their Under The Sea adventures, by drawing their own sea creatures.

Some of us used some photographs or pictures to help us draw our sea creatures, while some of us invented our own. We drew them onto large sheets of sugar paper, then used a Sharpie to go over the lines. This helps us see really clearly where we have to paint.

Once drawn and 'Sharpied' the painting commenced. We have been practising how to hold our paint brushes like a pencil and paint carefully in one direction, not using too much paint. It takes ALOT of concentration!

We left them to dry - when they are, we'll outline them, cut them out and use them as part of our Under The Sea collage......check back and see how we get on! We're off to the seaside next week, so we're hoping to pick up a few objects from there to use in our collage.
