Brilliant Britto #1

Year 4 have started their new topic Brazil so over the next few weeks will be looking at the art of Romero Britto.

A little like Keith Haring, Romero Britto believes that Art should be accessible to all.

We started by finding out a little more about Romero Britto and looking at a variety of his work in more detail, sketching some of our favourite pictures of his in our sketchbooks.

Then we thought about our own Romero Britto inspired piece. Many of us liked the idea of doing something from popular culture, so we brought in pictures from home or looked on the internet before sketching out our initial ideas.

When we were happy with our ideas we drew them out on an A3 sheet of cartridge paper, outlining them with a black Sharpie ready for painting next week - check back to see how we got on!
