Ladybird, Ladybird

This week Year 1 started their new minibeast topic! 

For our warm up we drew as many minibeasts as we could.

Then we met our first minibeast.....

and practised drawing some ladybirds....

Finally we set about our main task. First we drew some blades of grass & practised blending dark green, light green and yellow oil pastels together.

Then we used a cork and some red paint to print our ladybird bodies.

When that had dried, we used thin black felt pens to draw on the ladybird markings.
