Last half term, Year 3 were studying The Romans, so in their Art lessons they practised drawing cartoon Roman soldiers.
As usual we started off on our whiteboards. Soon producing a whole army of Romans- all with different cartoon expressions on their faces.
Then we practised them in our sketchbooks, before personalising them with our faces.
Finally we moved onto our A4 soldiers for our class display - total experts in he art of cartoon Roman soldier drawing by now! We used silver sharpies for our helmets, but colouring pencils for the rest of our soldiers.
Finally we went over our pencil lines with a thin black pen. Here are some of our finished ones, that were enlarged to A3 and displayed in class.
Boudicca disguised as a Roman!!
Our pictures were also reduced to A5, and cut out to form part of a Where's Wally Roman Roman Army Edition corridor display!
