Film Noir!

As part of their Topic on Electricity, Year 4 looked at how the use of electric light can affect images. Buzzard class focused on how light was used in 1940's & 1950's Film Noir movies to create atmosphere by enhancing silhouettes and shadows and upping the level of suspense.

They created Film Noir scenarios from Lego, then set up their lights carefully to create the best effect. 

Have a closer look. Think about the stories behind the pictures. What is going on in each scene? Who is the villain, who is the hero? Is a crime being committed, if so how and by whom?

We think Orson Welles would be proud!
