Christmas Has Left The Building.....

In the weeks leading up to the Christmas holidays Year 4 Camera Club went into Walthamstow to seek out some picture opportunities - at that time of year all things Christmassy featured highly!

In their last art lessons before the Christmas holidays Year 3 and 4 designed and/or made Happy Holiday cards and decorations.

Year 3 started the lessons by showing they now clearly knew the difference between landscape and still life pictures.

We then went on to design and make a card using the pointillism technique of last week, or we created a landscape picture for the front of our cards.

Practising our landscape designs.....

When they were finished, our designs were ripped around the edges and mounted on card, before we wrote our own messages in them and sent them to other classes/teachers around the school (or kept them to take home!)

Meanwhile Year 4, having spent so much time being monks creating illuminated letters,  created their own designs for a stained glass window effect card.

We also mastered the art of making woven Danish Hearts!
