We certainly could Paddington!
However, no challenge is too tough for Merlin Class!
We drew two different teddies and decided on our favourite (most of us liked them both!!)
Then we looked at some of Gwen John's pencil, ink and wash pictures....but there was only one thing wrong....they were all CATS.
We decided to rectify the situation and create some teddies in her style. We used graphite and a brown paint wash, trying to paint some of our teddies quickly and lightly, leaving some areas white.
It wasn't long before Paddington went on to put Magpie Class through their paces.
Then they got cracking on their pictures.
Finally, it was Mallard's turn.
Once they were all finished and dry, they were mounted and Paddington is proud to announce that another teddy bear exhibition is underway. He was particularly proud that his Year 1 proteges remembered how to make their bears furry! Teddies Rock!
Meanwhile on South Site, Moorhen's are all getting into their teddy art too!
Fantastic work all of you!
Great work!

ReplyDeleteThank you Mr B, we do love drawing teddies in Year 1! We got to see loads at the Museum of Childhood too, which was GREAT!
