Back To Nature with William Morris

This week, having previously investigated William Morris, Year 4 really did get 'back to nature' designing and creating pictures using natural materials foraged from the wild life area and donated by a kindly local flower stall owner. The results were AMAZING!
A lot of children naturally incorporated some William Morris symmetry. The following photos were taken soon after they were created, but over the weeks the pictures will change before our very eyes as they gradually decompose.
The children worked in pairs using A3 paper, which had been tea-stained then photocopied, to give an older Victorian feel to their pictures.

Most of us decided to use just natural materials, but a few of us added in some extra patterns in the spaces in ink.

Meanwhile this class, used a bouquet on white paper, giving a crisper, modern feel to their pictures.

Happiness is a finished William Morris picture!

Next week we're trying some printing.....CAN'T WAIT!!!!
