We started by warming up drawing flowers and planting an invent a flower game.
Then we went back to looking at and discussing the work of Vincent Van Gogh - this time his iris series of pictures.
Finally we set to work, creating our own iris inspired pictures using blue, purple, yellow and white paint and oil pastels.
We did 2 iris pictures each. One for our sketchbooks, one for a class display and some of us had time to do an extra one to be cut out and added to our hall display of the wildlife area!
Some of Year 3 got in on the iris action too!
