Arty Maths With A Little Added Spy-craft (and more!...)

Year 6 are still as arty as ever, creating some great work to complement different subject areas.

Inspired by Anthony Horowitz's Stormbreaker, which they read in class, they learnt about perspective and drew these amazing spy- craft inspired pictures - some with added lasers to navigated your way through.

In Maths they reinforced their understanding of Pi by creating a bar chart of its digits and turning it into a cityscape.

They have also complemented their Science and eco-awareness by drawing very detailed fish to go in their plastic free oceans as a follow up to their work inspired by Blue Planet
More pictures to follow as the battery died in the camera!!

They have also explored the beauty of nature through their winter tree spiral mosaics.

....and if all that wasn't enough, Oana has created her own mini exhibition in class of all the extra work she has done outside of her lessons. A lot of the children bring in their own sketchbook work from home and use their playtimes to add to their portfolios as they are so keen on Art and having achieved their Discover Arts Award and moving towards their Explore Award.
Keep up all the brilliant work Year 6!
