Year 3 started their new topic - Get Moving - by striking a pose and thinking of different positions we make and how we can record them.
For our warm up we drew stickmen in different poses - dabbing was quite popular! We tried to show our key joints.
We then looked at a variety of pictures showing movement, focusing in particular on the work of Eadweard Muybridge a photographer and one of the forerunners of film as his photographers attempted to capture movement.
We then tried our own 'moving montage' pictures, by creating simple identical cut-outs and positioning them on our page to show some sort of movement.
Here are some of our finished ones - some of us added some extra movement lines with a white oil pastel.
