Secondary Coloured Spiders!

Year 1 said farewell to all things spidery this week, when they put their 'faces' and legs on their secondary-coloured spiders that were now dry from the week before

We started by remembering a lot about Mondrian, especially his use of primary colours.....it was definitely time to move onto secondary colours.

By the end we were masters of both primary and secondary colours, but as our furry, fork - painted bodies weren't yet dry, we'd have to wait until the following week to add our eyes, mouth, fangs and legs. So that lesson began with practising that in our warm-up.

Mr Saunders is a man of many expressions!

Finally we added our favourite eyes and expressions to our own spider drawings:

We then set to work, finishing our painted spiders off....

You'll find us crawling all over the class room walls now!
